Travel Medicine and International Health Center at Lower Bucks
Hospital provides travelers with proper immunizations, prophylactic
medications and travel information to help make traveling safe
and healthy.
Our scope of services includes:

travel health assessments
• Vaccinations consistent with the
most up to date
CDC and WHO
recommendations (including
Yellow Fever vaccine)
• Travel security guidance from
the US State
Department
• Consulting
for team sporting events including
high altitude and dive medicine evaluations
• Travelers
diarrhea prevention and treatment
• Malaria chemoprophylaxis
• Emergency
travel medications/travel kits for
emergency first aid
• Evaluation
of higher risk travelers (infants,
pregnant
women, patients with chronic diseases)
The travel medicine department at Lower Bucks Hospital is run
by highly trained and qualified physicians. They include:
Hien Bui, M.D.
Dr. Bui is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson Medical College and she completed her residency at Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center in 1997. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has received her Certificate in Travel Health issued by the International Society of Travel Medicine in August 2007. She is also a Medical Review Officer and enjoys working in El Salvador as a volunteer.
Andrew Badulak, D.O.
Dr. Badulak is a graduate of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at Temple University and is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Badulak holds a Certificate in Travel Health from the International Society of Travel Medicine. His field experience includes medical relief work in Central America where he is a clinical advisor for the Comandos de Salvamento in El Salvador.
Michael Goldstein, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Goldstein is a graduate of the Columbia University College
of Physicians and Surgeons and is Board Certified in both Preventive
Medicine and Internal Medicine. He holds a Masters Degree in
Public Health from the Columbia University School of Public Health
and two faculty appointments. He has also published numerous
articles in medical journals. Dr. Goldstein is Medical Director
of LBH Healthworks, providing Occupational Health services to
over 300 companies.
Omid Rowshan, M.D., D.T.M&H.
Dr. Rowshan, Chief of the Lower Bucks Hospital Section of Travel
Medicine, holds a diploma in Tropical Medicine and Parasitology
from the University of West Virginia. He completed his residency
at Michigan State University. He is Board Certified in Emergency
Medicine as well as Family and Community Medicine, Sports Medicine,
and Ambulatory care. Dr. Rowshan is the Medial Director of Emergency
Services at Lower Bucks Hospital.
Appointments
may be scheduled by calling 215-785-9799. Special evening or
weekend appointments for larger groups of travelers can be easily
arranged. Special individualized emergency treatment can be arranged
in advance if illness should develop while traveling – help
could
be just a telephone call away.
